Welcome to our Networking Masterclass! I'm thrilled to be running this small group session for individuals who want to progress in post production. Sessions last one hour on zoom and are filled with open discussion whilst running through a series of slides. At the end there is a Q&A, during which you can ask any questions you may have. We'll dive into topics including... What is networking? Why is networking important? How networking is like GARDENING! How to assess your network and choose the right contacts + real life examples for Post Production Runners and Editorial Trainees You will learn... How to tap into the right networking mindset How to grow strong working relationships Why you shouldn't ask for a job and what to do instead We'll also discuss real-life examples of networking gone wrong and meet...Jo who wants a job and Alun the salesman. As well as how networking can go right with examples from my own life "Sophie the aspirational contact" and "James the Assistant Editor". To finish the class, we'll explore tips and tricks on how to write effective cold emails, email and phone etiquette and how to nuture your working relationships to support you in your career.
